Questa una descrizione che ho trovato:

La scritta sul retro della busta ricorda da vicino la pubblicità della Pompea : "No Stress!" :

"What makes original nylon different than nylon today?
In 1964, DuPont introduced a reprocessed nylon fiber called Cantrece, a nylon that stretches. This was the first reprocessing of the original nylon specifically for the hosiery market. Agilon came out beforeCantrece but it was still based on the original nylon. Nylon has since been reprocessed several times. The problem is the word nylon is used for all types of the nylon fiber but original nylon, called nylon 6,6 does not stretch. Another fiber called Lycra was invented and blended with nylon to add durability. This is not to say that nothing was compromised in the reprocess of nylon. The original nylon stocking has been imitated for many years but never matched.

The only way to see and feel the difference in nylon is to try a pair of original nylon stockings - Try It, You'll Like It!"

Mi da l'idea di qualcosa di simile alla filanca... Comunque, quel "crepe like loveliness" mi incuriosisce molto!

Mi trovo decisamente d'accordo con l'ultima frase (che ho sottolineato io)! E' una cosa che ho sempre notato, anche quando non conoscevo ancora le calze in solo nylon ma avevo comunque notato, rispetto ai collant che portavo da ragazzina negli anni '80, una minore trasparenza e leggerezza, un effetto "cristallo" che non c'era più, nei filati di oggi!
Diciamo che proprio questa maggiore trasparenza e "durezza" di quei collant, che a mio parere li rendeva più belli rispetto a quelli di oggi (stiamo parlando sempre di tipo di filato, al di là del fatto che si tratti di calze o di collant), era però anche ciò che li rendeva più scomodi, perchè si adattavano meno ai movimenti e alla forma della gamba. Erano insopportabili! E' da questo che è derivata la mia insofferenza!... Quelli di oggi sono più comodi, si, ma meno belli... Ecco allora tutta la bellezza e i vantaggi del reggicalze - sempre per il mio gusto - che unisce la possibilità di poter indossare questi filati trasparentissimi e leggeri alla comodità che un collant fatto con queste stesse fibre non può avere! Un reggicalze ti permette di poter portare di tutto, un collant no! Grazie alle calze da reggicalze in solo nylon, vintage o moderne, ho ritrovato l'eleganza che ricordavo in quei vecchi collant, senza però la loro scomodità!
